In a materiality similar to the table, the Mélos lamp completes the series. An upright lampshade, a counterweight geometry, an intriguing weighting, the object seeks its expression in the material. The duality and alliance of the two systems give rise to a surprising piece. The weight of the erected metal, challenged by a spread wooden base, creates an opposition between the beautiful and the useful, one becoming the support of the other. A meticulously balanced diptych.
