The concept involving the development of the armchair Gorilla was the intentions of joining in one only work the incorporation of Brazilian modernism and the references of strength and powering attributed to the king of African jungle, the gorilla animal. The main inspiration was the mixed context between the Brazilian culture and the African values. The respect and appreciation for this animal is manifested in the design of this armchair in a metaphorical way through its forms and the materials chosen, which combine strength and robust structure.
