pega, mata e come (catch, kill and eat) is a surrealist painting by Brazilian artist Thales Pomb. A monumental bird towers over a rural landscape, its beak piercing the land as if extracting memory or light. Under a deep, near-black sky sliced by a single vertical glow, the work evokes themes of dominance, fate and transformation. Through a mix of dreamlike scale and allegorical tension, Pomb blurs the boundary between natural force and psychological terrain.
